We have begun to post information about various Team members on our social media platforms: FB/Instagram, etc. One of the well-known Archangels is Archangel Michael. He is our ‘go to’ archangel of the Team and can quickly assign questions to others that can be best answered by them. One of those others is the second most commonly known archangel who is Archangel Gabriel. Let’s discuss more about this archangel who is also a primary player of the Divine Guidance Team. Archangel Gabriel’s name means “God is my Strength” for he provides a foundation of knowing. He is called upon to open channels within each of us, for the purposes of the creative, whether it is for birth or music, art, literature, prose or poetry. He helps with our emotions and strengthens our connection with nature, animals, and people and to other angels. Archangel Gabriel is also great at communications. Call upon him if you need help with a difficult conversation, a presentation or lecture. Ask him for help with any type of communication issues. Archangel Gabriel appears in the Book of Luke in the Christian Holy Bible as the angel who announces the birth of Jesus to Mary. According to Catholic tradition, this is called the Annunciation. While some say Mary didn’t quite understand Gabriel’s words, “Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee,” she did realize that it was an angel who was speaking to her and the message was important. Call upon Archangel Gabriel when you start a new project, especially if it is one of a creative endeavor, such as writing a book or painting a canvas or composing a song. He helps alleviate fears surrounding the creative process as well as motivating artists and writers. He aids in easing habits of procrastination. You can also call upon Archangel Gabriel if you are expecting a baby or working with animals or gardening. Archangel Gabriel is portrayed as both a male and female angelic figure, although angels are actually androgynous. Archangel Gabriel is also known as the patron saint of postal workers, broadcasters and diplomats and has a Feast Day on September 29. He is often depicted with an array of lilies, which stand for purity and truth or with a trumpet which symbolizes messages. Remember to give thanks to any and all of the angels who help you along your spiritual journey! And remember – to get their attention—all you have to do is ask!
