By Blake Cahoon Sometimes, it’s simply hard to get started with any task at all. That was my problem this week. But somehow I had to get it all done! I usually work in the afternoons at my desk, video creating, editing, etc., blog writing, content creation, posting content and yes, creating digital products, media, merch, workshops, classes, planning events and holding the occasional client consultation with me and the Team (wish it was a little more than just occasional!). This week was hard. I was helping a friend in the mornings, so my usual schedule was interrupted. Sometimes we need a regular schedule to maintain the discipline in keeping to our task lists. Hint: this a way to keep motivated-keep a regular schedule. By the time I returned home, my precious and adorable kitten (cat) needed my attention. I keep threatening to get another cat, so she has some one else to pay attention to , but so far my clingy cat lounges on me when I’m trying to work. She is doing so even as I type this. Hint 2: keep distractions at bay. (Obviously, I’m still working on this). I’m pretty good at getting my tasks done. Last week I had managed to upload all the content for the week (social media sites: FB, Instagram, Threads, YouTube—am I forgetting one?? At any rate—check them out!) Hint 3: Batch tasks. So I didn’t have to worry too much when my body said Opps—we’re sending you to the hospital for a few days. Don’t worry—it was fairly minor and I’m okay now. I get some my work done when I can—it’s sometimes wonderful to work for yourself. You can do some of the work whenever. Corporate world, however, has instilled in me a disciplined schedule which I tend to lean towards, even when I don’t need to. Oh, well. But it is that sense of duty and obligation to my growing audience, plus the need for bringing some money into the business, that really keeps me going. Oh I actually like what I do—so that also helps. Hints: 4. Lean back on what has worked in the past. 5. Take responsibility for your actions. 6.Treat your customers with respect. 7. Be consistent. And finally – if you can: enjoy your work. Oh and give yourself grace when you just can’t get to it. There’s always tomorrow!! Until next time… Many Blessings, Blake Cahoon

By Blake Cahoon From the Archives We all have them – those people who bug us, who we complain about, who frustrate us. People can play massive mind games with us. When we are polite, we call them ‘difficult’; when we aren’t polite we call them much worse. None the less they can hamper us, hinder us and even make us sick when we let them get to us too much. They may be our siblings, our spouses, our co-workers, our bosses or the people at the DMV. How do you deal with these people? Ignore them? Lose sleep? Get a stomach ache? Disown them? Quit your job? Once upon a time, I too had a situation (among many—but this was the one that turned it around for me) – where someone was being very difficult in a project at corporate world work that was creating great issues for the project’s completion. One day I came home frustrated and angry beyond belief. My Divine Guidance Team is always with me and they certainly were that day. I came home mad as a wet cat. (Normally cats don’t like water and a wet cat is an angry full-clawed hissing type creature you don’t want to be near!). I came home and was cussing up a blue streak (yes, I do occasionally do this – it lets off steam!). My Team inquired what was wrong in a rather calm fashion, as they are warranted to do. One particular Team member, Master Yeshua, was the front-runner spokesperson that day. I told him in no uncertain terms what was wrong, throwing my purse to the floor and stomping my feet as a child in a tantrum would do. I finally said to him, “What should I do about this situation?” His answer came unexpectedly. “Bless him,” he said. “What!??!!” I yelled back (it was cool to do so – he’s used to it). “I can’t bless him!!” I yelled and went on for another fifteen minute rant and rave. Finally I let him speak again and again he answered, “Bless him.” At this point I knew for certain I was channeling an Ascended Master, for I would never in my current state of mind come up with this incessant, peacefully, spoken answer. I went into another fit of anger, but I was winding down. It only lasted five minutes. “Are you through?” he finally asked as I collapsed into a near-by chair. “Yes,” I said, exhausted. “Then you must dig deep down inside yourself and bless this person,” Master Yeshua stated. “For in doing so you will dissolve the block that is holding you from your solution.” I pondered this for a moment. “Do I have to?” I whined. I can be stubborn when I want to. “Do you wish to solve your issue with this individual?” “Yes,” I said. “Then you must bless him,” came the answer again. And so with this answer at hand, I ponder the Master’s answer. The next day, I had a meeting with the difficult person, along with the rest of the work team. They too were fed up with the situation and were borderline difficult themselves. The situation had been a toll on all of us. As the project manager droned on about timelines and duties, I focused on Mr. Difficult. I looked around the table. And I looked towards the ceiling (heavenwards) and silently, to myself, I said, “Dear Angels, God, Master Yeshua and the rest of the Team, Please let me see this situation with new eyes and an open heart. Let me heal myself and the others. Let the bridge of knowledge between us flow openly. Let understanding flow between all parties and let there be peace among the team. Thank you, thank you, thank you.” Then I dug deep into myself (and deep is an understatement) and had to find all that peace, understanding and even love among fellow team mates. I finally found that sweet spot and sent out waves of beautiful white light, love and blessings to all, especially Mr. Difficult. I blessed them all and asked the angels and Team to bless them all, especially Mr. Difficult. Then I sat and waited. I didn’t have to wait long – in less than 20 minutes, if that, the situation began turning around. I expressed myself in the meeting not with frustration, but with renew understanding and sympathy. Especially of Mr. Difficult, who turned out didn’t have a clue of what was being asked of him. We helped him with this process going forward. The dam was broken and the project progress started to flow again after weeks of backup. Mr. Difficult became Mr. Cooperative. The project, while it still had its bumps, preceded and finally finished only one week late. I am convinced it was because I did as Master Yeshua instructed: I blessed the situation and the people involved. I am also convinced that anyone can take this method and use it to their advantage. For I have done so a number of times since then with positive results. The next time you have a difficult situation, stop and dig deep (this may take some doing) and bless the person. Many ask: “What would Jesus do?” when dealing with difficult people. I know the answer: Bless them. (Master Yeshua is also known as Jesus Christ.) Many Blessings! Blake Cahoon and the Divine Guidance Team The Angelic Path The Power of Daily Affirmations: Manifesting Desires through the Universal Law of Attraction1/16/2024 In a world filled with challenges and uncertainties, the concept of manifesting one's desires might sound like wishful thinking. However, supporters of the universal law of attraction state that positive thinking can shape your reality. One powerful tool in this journey is the practice of daily affirmations. These simple yet impactful statements, when repeated regularly, are believed to align your thoughts and energies with your goals, ultimately bringing them into your life. Understanding the Universal Law of Attraction: The universal law of attraction states that like attracts like. In simpler terms, the energy you emit into the universe – be it positive or negative – is reflected back to you in the form of experiences, circumstances, and opportunities. By adopting a positive mindset and focusing on your desires, you attract positive outcomes. Daily affirmations can serve as a practical method to reinforce positive energy and strengthen your ability in the manifestation process. The Science of Affirmations: While skeptics may question the scientific basis of affirmations, studies suggest that they can have a real impact on our thoughts and behaviors. When you repeat positive affirmations, you are essentially rewiring your brain. This is due to a phenomenon known as neuroplasticity, which refers to the brain's ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections. Affirmations help create a positive mental environment, nurturing a mindset conducive to achieving your goals. Creating Positive Habits: Consistency is key when it comes to manifesting desires through affirmations. Using them into your daily routine helps establish positive habits. Whether recited in the morning, before bed, or during moments of stress, affirmations can act as a constant reminder of your goals. Over time, they become rooted in your subconscious, influencing your thoughts and actions without conscious effort. Creating Effective Affirmations: The effectiveness of affirmations lies in their wording and positivity. Instead of vague statements, such as "I want to be happy," create affirmations that clearly define your desires. For instance, "I am attracting happiness and fulfillment into my life." By framing your affirmations positively and in the present tense, you send a powerful message to the universe about your current state and future desires. Boosting Confidence and Self-Esteem: One of the notable benefits of daily affirmations is their positive impact on confidence and self-esteem. As you consistently reinforce positive beliefs about yourself and your abilities, you begin to internalize these messages. This newfound confidence can empower you to overcome obstacles and pursue your goals with determination. The more you believe in yourself, the more likely you are to take the necessary actions to turn your desires into reality. Overcoming Negative Thought Patterns: In a world often dominated by stress and negativity, it's easy to fall into the practice of self-sabotaging thoughts. Daily affirmations can serve as a counterbalance to these negative influences. By consciously choosing positive thoughts and repeating them regularly, you break free from the grip of pessimism. Affirmations act as a shield against self-doubt, helping you navigate challenges with resilience and optimism. In the journey of manifesting desires through the universal law of attraction, daily affirmations can be used as a powerful tool. The combination of positive thinking, neuroplasticity, and consistent reinforcement creates a mindset that can be used in alignment with your goals. By using affirmations in your daily routine, you not only reshape your thoughts but also influence your actions and experiences. In a world where your mindset shapes your reality, the power of daily affirmations should not be underestimated. Start today, speak your desires into existence, and watch as the universe responds in kind. If you like this article, please let us know with a comment below!! Thank you! We have begun to post information about various Team members on our social media platforms: FB/Instagram, etc. One of the well-known Archangels is Archangel Michael. He is our ‘go to’ archangel of the Team and can quickly assign questions to others that can be best answered by them. One of those others is the second most commonly known archangel who is Archangel Gabriel. Let’s discuss more about this archangel who is also a primary player of the Divine Guidance Team. Archangel Gabriel’s name means “God is my Strength” for he provides a foundation of knowing. He is called upon to open channels within each of us, for the purposes of the creative, whether it is for birth or music, art, literature, prose or poetry. He helps with our emotions and strengthens our connection with nature, animals, and people and to other angels. Archangel Gabriel is also great at communications. Call upon him if you need help with a difficult conversation, a presentation or lecture. Ask him for help with any type of communication issues. Archangel Gabriel appears in the Book of Luke in the Christian Holy Bible as the angel who announces the birth of Jesus to Mary. According to Catholic tradition, this is called the Annunciation. While some say Mary didn’t quite understand Gabriel’s words, “Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee,” she did realize that it was an angel who was speaking to her and the message was important. Call upon Archangel Gabriel when you start a new project, especially if it is one of a creative endeavor, such as writing a book or painting a canvas or composing a song. He helps alleviate fears surrounding the creative process as well as motivating artists and writers. He aids in easing habits of procrastination. You can also call upon Archangel Gabriel if you are expecting a baby or working with animals or gardening. Archangel Gabriel is portrayed as both a male and female angelic figure, although angels are actually androgynous. Archangel Gabriel is also known as the patron saint of postal workers, broadcasters and diplomats and has a Feast Day on September 29. He is often depicted with an array of lilies, which stand for purity and truth or with a trumpet which symbolizes messages. Remember to give thanks to any and all of the angels who help you along your spiritual journey! And remember – to get their attention—all you have to do is ask!
